 THE USE OF THE MICROMOTOR DEVICE

There are methods and treatments developed to prevent or stop hair loss. Hair loss can be
prevented by hair treatments, with the aid of some hair transplantation methods, solutions
are delivered to hairlessness problems. There are some tools used during hair
transplantation. One of these is a modern technology product named micromotor, used in
hair transplantation treatment. Micromotor is a tool used in hair transplantation treatment, in
order to fasten the operation and get more hair follicles with the FUE-method.
The Use of the Micromotor Device:
-In the preparation phase of the hair transplantation operation, the hair is shortened to 1 mm.
-If there are few areas where the transplantation will be done, and if the patient’s hair is long
enough to cover the area where grafting will be done, it is not needed to cut the hair
completely.
-After the hair is shortened, the operation area is cleaned with an antiseptic solution.
– Then, the scalp is anesthetized all around with local anesthesia.
– The anesthesia will be sufficient until the end of the operation.
– The hair transplantation operation is done by attaching special size needles to the
endpiece of the micromotor device, which are appropriate to the person’s hair follicle.
-The needles attached to the micromotor have sizes between 0,6-0,8-0.9mm, these needles
are called ‘’Micro-punch’’.
-The “Micro-punches” suited for the person are attached, and the hair follicles are loosened.
(Removing follicles by loosening them, lasts for about 2 to 4 hours.)
-Grafts are collected one by one, by means of ‘’Micro-punch’’.
-The micromotor penetrates the scalp by rotating with the help of an air motor during a hair
transplantation treatment.
-It widens the donor (giver) area, in order to collect the hair follicles in a shorter time and in
an easier way, without damaging them.
– Grafts are collected by the ‘’Micropen-set’’ (a tool that has a curved endpiece, and
resembles tweezers).
-Grafts are collected and saved in special solutions which are cooled during the operation.
The micromotor is not used in the ‘FUT’ technique. It’s a medical device used in the ‘FUE’
technique. In hair transplantation treatments done by a micromotor, success is achieved at
the level of 90t. Micromotor can be used together with different graft transplantation
techniques, such as ‘’Direct Hair Transplantation’’ which is also known as ‘’Pen Technique’’.
There won’t be any cuts or swelling in local hair transplantation treatments done by a
micromotor. If the hair transplantation treatment isn’t done in a just manner, to the direction
where the strand of hair comes out, it will damage the hair follicles, and follicles won’t grow
again from these follicles. Therefore, the micromotor device should only be used in
appropriate circumstances and by hair transplantation specialists.
